Senior Business Development Manager β New Business Development (Fabrication)
Reports To: Director of Sales
ποΈ Key Responsibilities:
1. New Business Development
β’ Identify and target new clients in sectors like construction, infrastructure, oil & gas, automotive, and heavy engineering
β’ Develop strategic sales plans and lead generation tactics
β’ Leverage networking, cold calling, industry events, and research to win new business
β’ Propose tailored fabrication solutions based on client requirements
2. Relationship Management
β’ Build strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers
β’ Regularly engage with clients to understand business challenges and upcoming projects
3. Proposal and Tender Management
β’ Collaborate with estimation and technical teams to develop competitive proposals
β’ Create custom presentations that showcase our fabrication capabilities and value
4. Market Intelligence and Strategy
β’ Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and sector opportunities
β’ Provide strategic insights to leadership for shaping product and service offerings
5. Revenue & Target Achievement
β’ Consistently meet or exceed sales KPIs and revenue targets
β’ Track performance via CRM and generate actionable reports
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration
β’ Work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams for smooth project execution
β’ Ensure client expectations are clearly communicated and met
π§ Key Qualifications & Skills:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering (MBA is a plus)
β’ 7β10 years of business development experience in fabrication, engineering, or related industries
β’ Strong professional network in target sectors
β’ Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
β’ In-depth understanding of fabrication processes and project lifecycles
β’ Proven track record of achieving sales targets
β’ Willingness to travel as required
